As far as I’m concerned, any developer should be able to grab an unclaimed merge file to squash bugs, though they should remember to report what bugs they fixed either in the merge thread or in the individual bug report threads. In general, the merge files aren’t really intended to be lead-only, but we’re not very good at communicating that, or giving developers an idea of what needs to be done in those files.
But yeah, otherwise leads will probably get around to it eventually, often as a release approaches. I took care of the Indoril-Thirr bugs for the last release and, now that you remind me, will probably try and tackle the InDev bugs while I have the file. The TR_Mainland bugs were also going to be fixed for the last release, but we didn’t get around to fixing most of them in the end.
There’s some broken images in the TR Planning Documents. The ones I noticed were in the House Dres and House Hlaalu pages, but there may be more. They used to show up for me and now just show blank empty spaces.
Yup, they got taken down by imgur. I don’t know what they were, precisely, and I don’t have them so I can’t upload them to TR.
As far as I know, neither does anyone but Swiftoak. So currently we’re SOL.
We’re working on making it so our site images are not hosted elsewhere, since offsite hosted images inevitably disappear.
Does: concepts, textures, youtube vids, admin stuff e.g. PR, handbook, assets, small website things. Activity level: wildly unpredictable. Still active. Find me on Discord.
That’s a shame. The ones missing on the Dres page were to do with the Arnesian War, and were quite well done.
Another site fix, not sure if bug or feature. :)
When clicking on the “View X New posts” in the activity stream at the bottom of the page, the link sends me to the first post in the thread rather than the last. There’s also no page counter at the top of the thread, so I have to scroll down through all the posts to move to the last page. Fixing one or the other be appreciated!
A request: in the “latest updated threads” location, I would likethis broken down into maybe two columns, one for assets and one for forum threads. Just makes it easier on me sorting through all the things people have updated when someone or multiple someones take off posting to many things all in one go.
Use the Dashboard. There are seperate blocks for assets, bugs, forum topics, everything. Plus a seperate list of new content and the latest edits.
The forum Latest 10 active posts is a legacy view that is minimal because it would overload the forum main page if it was any bigger (and I didn’t want it there to begin with).
A standard, working forum search like the one in archived forum is needed, I can’t find one for current forum.
In case there is one available search similar in functionality to old forum search, sorry forget it and please link it
In case there is no such search available/in the works, start thinking about it: a forum (or any other CRUD app) without proper content search functionality is very limited, the more data you add, the more this will be noticeable.
@abot: it’s in the context panel of your account name, second item from the bottom. Curious you didn’t see it when logging out.
The more I venture into the realms of wisdom, the more I realize that all wisdom is nothing but illusionary and theoretical. So, in order to go completely illiterate and bogus, I need to know more about everything.
Can’t find a better topic if there is one. Is it possible to have a “mark all things read” button in the asset/claims browser?

“Mark all forums read” is specific code for the Advanced Forum plugin. So no, it’s not, unless we move the claims browser to a dedicated plugin instead of a vanilla, views-based thing.
In the asset browser can we fix it so that if you search by “model” it also searches for all child terms of model?

I am unsure if this is something that can be fixed by us, but when making a post, I often mistype the word ‘the’ or other th sounds. Well, it just shows the problem there. I type fast, very fast according to my peers, and ‘the’ is one of the more common words to use. This would not bother me so much, but these superscripted letters are a bit slower to fix than other errors, I have to backspace and then turn them off. Sometimes I’ve had to backspace entire words because of the thing moving or being more numerous than originally thought. Is it at all possible to make it so that the superscripting of TH only happens after a number has been typed adjacent, or to remove the automatic function of it entirely? This post itself actually took longer than it would have to type because of this issue. Just a minor irck, and if it is too minor for this thread I understand.
I know I can use the plain text editor, but I like to use the rich text editor for the multi-tool nature of it, it is very useful to have at a moments notice.
Known issue, yeah. In the meantime, you can click the “Source” button and remove the superscript code to get it to stop trying to reapply it as you’re typing. Should be something like [sup][/sup] (With the carrot brackets instead of course). Delete that, switch back by clicking Source again, and type away!
a sufficiently long username causes there to be two rows on the main bar at the top, the bottom one containing the SEARCH function. Even though there looks like enough room to have both (this has been happenning since that bar has been re-organized)
Well, that’s why I had been hestitant to add more stuff to the top bar. People wanted the search on top as it was “too hidden”, and the dashboard, as it was “too hidden”, etc. As usual, nobody had issues during the weeks of testing, and it only crops up afterwards.
Space is simply limited. I’ll see what I can do there, but it needs to take into account that TR also runs layouts for tablets and smartphones. I’m honestly tempted to just go back to the older design, where the userbar was below the main menu. It did have more space for everything and all user menu entries were top level.
A quick overview of new and updated content can be found in your dashboard. If you are interested in our ongoing development, check out the claims browser and the asset browser.

I don’t remember if I’ve asked this elsewhere, but how do you mark all topics read in the forum? I don’t see a button.

There is a text link at the very bottom of the forum main page “Mark all forums read“.

Not really. The search field can allow for multiple selections, but then it will be a bigger box, if that helps.

We don't own the TR domain and I can't already get reliable email going due to security settings and the lack of a responsive webmaster.
I'll read up on Let's Encrypt, but I'm not making any promises.

Thanks for that. It's easy for me to request things, but I'm not the one who has to implement the darn thing.
