TR1909

  • The unfinished Tur Julan interior remains unfinished.
  • Roa Dyr: Gnomey is working on it, but strapped for time. A problem is that there are several NPCs that need to be included for worldbuilding purposes with at least a few unique lines.
  • Khalaan NPCs are nearly done.
  • All but one Speaker quest are done.
  • All but one of Rats’ Temple quests are done.

Organization

Czernobog offered his help and that of his TES V Pyandonea project writing team to TR. After some discussion, we decided that he could work on filling out some of the planning documents. To that end, we need to gather the lore sources for him to work off of.

Quest Reviewing

We discussed the process of becoming a quest reviewer. The idea of putting together a test review file as exists for interiors was discussed but ultimately rejected. Instead, prospective reviewers will need to review two actual quest claims and have another quest reviewer look over their work to be approved.

Claim Revocation

In broad terms, the necessity of stricter guidelines for updating claims were discussed, to ensure critical claims wouldn’t spend a long time sitting around without updates.

The guidelines should reflect the importance of the claim, so low priority claims don’t need to be updated as often as high priority ones. For critical claims, the deadline was suggested as one week for an update (can just be a post in the claim thread), second week without an update leads to a revocation.

Claimants are encouraged to provide WIPs early and often. They can be in a messy, unclean state, though naturally tidy files are preferred. The main thing is to provide a tangible file that people can work with, rather than a theoretical file nobody else might ever see when it dies in an inevitable harddrive failure.

Leads are encouraged to check the claims browser more often, in particular for high-priority claims that haven’t been updated in a while. Automated updates were shortly discussed. The PT bot could be set up to post a regular reminder to check claims, most primitively. Implementing automatic systems on the site won’t happen anytime soon.
