Proposed Agenda
The plan is to discuss Almas Thirr changes in connection with the Hlan Oek release and Idathren's Mages Guild.
Future Releases
- A general discussion about issues with lack of communication and interaction between asset work on Discord and asset work on the site. (Progress posted to Discord not making it back to the site, feedback on the forum and Discord running in parallel, etc.)
- TV NPC claims second pass
- Possibly more Narsis/Shipal-shin interior claim discussions.
- The former Hlan Oek Zenithar cult should be discussed more. It is being removed from Hlan Oek likely to Kragenmoor. After discussion with Infragris and Thomas, the Knights of Iron from High Rock might be a bad fit and a (perhaps more Nibenese) Zenithar cult should probably be substituted (no real effect on interiors).
- A new transitional region between Alt Orethan and the Deshaan Plains.
- Sorting out which cites have which guild halls
- Thieves Guild
- Morag Tong
- How much do the Temple and Cult need this?
- Resolving more Imperial Cult issues, perhaps up to a Template Meeting
- IC shrines start appearing in Thirr Valley and need a better overarching characterisation
- The faction endgame
- Same thing for the Psijjic Order.
- Requires Infragris and a whole lot of lore-aware people.
- The integration of PI (Padomiac Isles) assets through TR's browser.
Meeting Notes
Idathren
- In general, the people present for the meeting were in favor of removing the Mages Guild hall in Idathren, with Shipal-sharai being named as the likely alternative.
- Moving the hall from Andrethis to Hla Rud so that the guild guide network would overlap less with other travel networks was also discussed, though not conclusively.
- Idathren will get Hlan Oek’s old governor’s manor to replace the MG hall, the owner being turned into a netch rancher.
Almas Thirr
Vern prepared an int survey of Almas Thirr, though it was not discussed in detail in the meeting. The following adjustments to the city were discussed:
- possibly raise the eastern bridge a bit/alter the bridge support model to have a bit more headroom (depending on how much people care about ships actually being able to fit through)
- rotate the canton mesh
- wrap the lowest level around the southern edge
- move the plaza to the exterior (replace canton mesh with an open topped version)
- possibly extend the western bridge, definitely de-cobble it
- add the FG, MG and further buildings to the new spaces
- Add the TG to the waistworks
- sort out canton interior fit (waistworks and further edits)
Some quick faction quest outlines:
FG: Acting as muscle for the two houses, messing with the Hlaalu plantation workers for the indoril, harassing velothi farmsteaders for the Hlaalu. Maybe a dungeon delve.
The smugglers in Othrano are a potential target, both for CT-aligned clients clearing out competition and Indoril-aligned clients clearing out smugglers.
TG: Conflict with the CT based out of Hlan Oek, ends with them getting kicked out of AT and setting up in the CT's old base.
The background is the CT arent welcome in AT since the temple dislikes skooma, so the TG have a very thin protection against reprisals. Quests would be simple, rob this guy, get the location of the base from this gal, drop dime to the coast guard or ordinaotrs about the location of the stash and let them clean it out, TG skedaddles before temple gets them.
The context makes straightforward objectives seem more interesting, without needing multiple different scripted endings.
MG: Padrumas maw is the end point, several possible locations were discussed for quests before that: conflict with House Indoril, ghost wizard in the new Velothi tower that will be added near Roa Dyr, lich in AT west.
New Interior Claims
The Hlan Oek interior design claims and additional Aanthirin dungeon claims were approved in the meeting.
Also, some Thirr Valley 06 claims are being set up, though the particular crops for the farms will still need to be added to the descriptions before being opened for claiming.
A guar ranch will be added south of Hlan Oek, in this general area:
