So.Only played original (vanilla/unmodded) Morrowind. Now I decided to mod it but I can't make it work. Im working with the GOG GOTY edition so its ver. is 1.6.1820. My .ini looks like that:
[Archives]
Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa
Archive 2=PT_Data.bsa
Archive 3=TR_Data.bsa
[Weather Snow]
[Weather Blizzard]

[Game Files]
GameFile0=Morrowind.esm
GameFile1=Tribunal.esm
GameFile2=Bloodmoon.esm
GameFile3=Tamriel_Data.esm
GameFile4=TR_Mainland.esm
GameFile5=AreaEffectArrows.esp
GameFile6=bcsounds.esp
GameFile7=LeFemmArmor.esp
GameFile8=master_index.esp
GameFile9=adamantiumarmor.esp
GameFile10=EBQ_Artifact.esp
GameFile11=Siege at Firemoth.esp

now the ingame error is one and the same; could not find region sea of ghosts region for cell wilderness, but now I've meddled with the files somehow (I'm a complete newb) to screw with it so far that I can't enable plugins (TR-factions,travel,preview) without getting the one or more plugins could not find the master file they depend on... Um I'm at a complete loss. I have a lot of other mods like MCA and Wyrmhaven, The Undead, Morrowind Overhaul, the face pack comps and so on with the smaller ones. Im using vortex and NMM (vortex was first, dont really know how to use NMM yet) so I did loadorders suggesred from vortex because of conflicts. Im just brainstorming for issues but theres to much info for this so I'm asking for help from the veterans. If you need any more specified details show me how and Ill find it for you to help me. Oh here's the ini when i enable most of them, maybe a suggestion on if it even works together is it even worth having...

Hey there ! Just to be sure I understand correctly : you have tried to play with TR as the only running mod, right ? (i.e. without all those other mods you're listing towards the end of your post). Because if you have only tried to run TR alongside all those other mods, then that would be the first step, to be sure the problem doesn't arise from some other mod conflicting.

Also, if you've screwed up some of your files, it may be worth it to copy your MW Data Files folder to someplace else on your hard drive, and paste an untouched one in its place (taken from the GOG download), to use as a new basis on which to re-install TR.

No actually, I have ran them almost all together and there were alot more errors. But then I started to launch them one by one and in combinations to see wich is the problematic one. And the only problematic one is TR, afaik all others run with no problem by themselves and with some other minor ones.

Then I'd strongly advise you start over with a fresh Data Files folder, and install TR first. Then, if it works, add the other mods one by one.

You mention you're using "Morrowind Overhaul": which mod exactly do you mean by that? Some overhaul mods, like Rebirth for instance, are incompatible with TR.

Finally, you may want to check TR's FAQ, just in case, especially this question and that one.

Good luck, and let us know how things go!

Oh and double checking, registering bsas is only to have them in your ini file right?

Ok I checked now, running only TR works just fine. The problem was running them all together, but now I want to know if I can run them all together or do confilcting files cause the simoultaneous confilcted mod run to not start the initialization?

Just one last thing before this can close, what mods (bigger ones) do you recommend to have the *full* experience and that they dont conflict, or work together. Can someone also teach me how to prioritize conflictions and later loadorder, within vortex if possible?

Hey there, glad you got TR working ! You'll have a great time, trust me :)

Regarding your questions :

  • Yes, registering BSAs just means adding there names to your morrowind.ini file (or openmw.cfg, if you're running openMW), which you did.
  • I'm no expert in mod compatibility, but in general, any mod that adds landmass to the game will have compatibility problems with TR. Wyrmhaven seems to be compatible, though, according to its description. If you want to use your old modlist again, I recommend adding them one by one, and checking they work correctly before adding the next one.
  • I'm no export on loadorder either, so I can't help you on that, but you'll find a list of recommended mods for TR here. As for mods for a full experience, this is a matter of taste: I'm personally very happy with running TR only :)

To go back to the actual question

GameFile32=The Undead - TR Addon.esp

That thing is most likely the culprit, it's old and references TR regions which haven't existed for years (Inner Sea Region, as Tamriel_Data retains the Sea of Ghosts region I assume you misread the error message). Play without it or try running the filepatcher (included in the Tamriel Data archive, requires Java 8) over it.
