Hope I’m posting this in the right place.

Is there a Merchant like Creeper or Mudcrab somewhere in the TR areas that has more gold available? It doesn’t necessarily have to pay 100% of the item value, but at least a merchant with a lot of gold for bulk selling all that loot you keep loading me down with :)

Thanks for an amazing mod!

When Almalexia is finally done and completed there will be a merchant with loads of gold who will also sell very expensive items as well, if I am remembering correctly. Just so players can sell their expensive loot and finally have something to spend alllll that gold on.

Cool, can’t wait to see Almalexia in all it’s glory! Was hoping there’d be some cool hidden Dwemer spider merchant hiden in some hard to reach dungeon surrounded by a bunch of enemies or something… *cough* TR team? *cough*

Mudcrab and Creeper were always a part of why Morrowind is so great I think, it isn’t afraid of being silly, and it’s always fully aware that you can completely break the game with in game mechanics, in fact it kinda encourages it. I want more of that :)

The mainland will certainly have merchants with more gold than those on Vvardenfell. Merchants in Hlaalu lands will probably be especially prosperous. How prosperous does depend on several factors, though, such as worldbuilding and gameplay balance. I’m not going to rule out the possibility of a merchant with completely out-of-proportion barter gold hidden somewhere in TR, as our landmass is so large, but I wouldn’t want a merchant like that to just be conjured up and tossed in without any thought.

Now, keeping in mind the special thing about both merchants are that they are Creatures and as such don’t have a barter skill… I’d say no. Merchants with comparative gold value yes as Gnomey has laid out (there’s one in Raven Rock, incidentally), but the mercantile weirdness of creature merchants I could do without.

This is also a private opinion as this hasn’t really been talked about one way or the other, so there’s no official response (yet).

Aye, when you build the town, you can have either a trader or a smith, both with a 10000 gold budget for bartering.

I wouldn’t mind a creature merchant but it would have to be well hidden like the mudcrab merchant. Perhaps a creature merchant that is never in the same place and is constantly moving from town to town for the sake of variety and so the player has to actually track them down without help from a local or internet. Like each ingame day he appears at a random town.
