This is based on some discussion on discord relating to the cards made in this thread, specifically how they may be used for divination like irl Tarot alongside the actual card game: https://www.tamrielrebuilt.org/forum/gamble-and-board-games
For now I only have 1 spread in mind (spread being a tarot term, it's just how the cards are arranged on the table and read), so here's my first draft of it:
Tribunal Spread
Description: Popular among Indoril nobles and Temple priests/monks alike. This is a card spread used by Dunmer wishing to achieve closer likeness to their preferred Living God through finding out which challenges they should overcome to get there. Despite being closely tied with the Temple, Redoran however don't typically use this spread and look down upon those House Redoran members who do. This is because Redoran see Divining your tribulations as gaining an unfair advantage over them, when the most honorable thing would be to come at it blind and think on your feet - just as their ancestors had done prior. On the other end of the spectrum is the Bouyant Armigers and Her Hands who exclusively use the Vivec and Almalexia respectively.
The Middle Card: Place the Tribunal card of your choice in the center. This card represents you end goal, what you wish to become - your "ultimate form" if you will (not literally but spiritually). Almalexia, Vivec, and Sotha Sil each having their own meanings that are TBA. For now just know that they each should have a card and said card should represent the various aspects of the Living God it depicts, which is used in this spread to be the aspects which the Divinee wishes to become more like.
Shuffle (obviously).
The 4 Corner cards are placed in the following order (clockwise); North, East, South, and west. Each representing one of the Four House of Troubles, each being a particular tribulation you must face and overcome before achieving that higher state of being.
The first card read is the northern card of Malacath. The card represents the easiest of challenges, as it typically represents something you must resist or endure, which is not a particularly impressive feat for a true Dunmer.
The second card read is the eastern Molag Bal. This card is significantly harder, as it represents the oppressive and diluting nature of the outlander's influence. This card is typically not something a wise Diviner would advise you overcome with brute strength - unlike the Northern Malacath - but instead one that a Dunmer must overcome in his heart and mind. All races have their uses, but none shall supercede the Dunmer spirit.
The third card read is the southern Sheogorath, whose madness knows no bounds. This card represents the contradictory nature of the other races, such as their aversion to proper necromancy, the hatred of slavery yet the willingness to profit off of it, the wish to invade and settle our lands while also not being able to tolerate a little ash, and many other such examples. Above all, this corner represents the illogical nature of the outside world and the need to overcome the confusion and absurdity, lest they drive you mad or worse... Sympathetic.
The fourth card read is the western Mehrunes Daegon. This card represents the truth that Tamriel and its climate is an everchanging Arena of death and destruction. To overcome this trial the faithful Dunmer must use all that they have learned to survive; just as Saint Veloth had before him.
