I’ve been having trouble downloading files from the old forums. Others seem to have been having issues with it as well. Do we have anyone here who still knows how to troubleshoot the old website? It’s rather important that we don’t lose every file our project has ever posted there since forever ago.

In the longterm, we should look into finding some way to archive the old forum in stable format. Do we know of any tools that can back up an entire website automatically?

EDIT: Huh. It seems I can’t download any file on the current website either.

I can download both from this and the old forum just fine. Also, there are full backups (that’s how it moved to the new server).

What exactly is your problem? Do you get a 404? Permission denied?

Whenever I click on a file to download, it opens a tab of computer mumbo-jumbo instead of downloading:

Make sure that it saves as a .esp (or w/e the actual format is of the specific link) because it will try to save it as a .esp.txt file by default.

That’s your browser setting identifying .esp as a text file, not something the web server is at fault for (usually).
