Hello everyone,

I am new to Tamriel Rebuilt.
Here is my problem:
Everytime i open the game, it says: Missing master file: TR_Map1.esm & TR_Map2.esm
I installed the mod, copied everything, added TR_Data.bsa to morrowind.ini file.

Morrowind.ini

Load Order

I also installed the morrowind code patch.

I have searched for hours upon hours to find a solution, but no luck.
If you need any more information, just tell me.

There are only two ways this would happen:

Way 1: Your saved game at some point was used to play on TR’s old map system. We switched the names of our ESM files a few years back, so if you have an old save, that might do it.

Way 2: One of the mods you have relied on those old master files. You can fix this by checking what the masters of each mod is. Any that still refer to map1, map2, etc need to be updated to point at TR_Mainland.esm. That can be done with Wrye Mash or a few other programs.

Also. TR_Travels should load after TR_Preview. That’s not related to this error, though.

Does: concepts, textures, youtube vids, admin stuff e.g. PR, handbook, assets, small website things. Activity level: wildly unpredictable. Still active. Find me on Discord.

It’s probably The Undead - TR Addon.esp or More Barter Gold v1TR.ESP. You might want to check what master files those two need.

As TR is really old, the oldest integration plugins were made before we switched to TR_Mainland, they still refer to Map1 and Map2.
There are two Dummy ESMs which you can add to your load order so you can play with these, but if the mod is so old that it requires those ESMs, you might reconsider just skipping it or looking if there’s a newer version.
