Hello TR!

I've been a fan of the mod since Antediluvian Secrets, but I've only been lurking on the Discord server since December. I saw that you guys need more quest developers so I thought I'd try my hand at it!

This .esp is the result of me re-learning the CS, but the primary focus of it is the contained quest. I'm still new to scripting and editing dialog in Morrowind, so please point out any mistakes I've made or ways I can improve.

I'm no writer, but I tried to design the quest in a way where the player can resolve it in a variety of ways and be deceptive. To start the quest, go to Llandreri Indalas' house along the canal on the east side of Balmora and talk to one of the two women inside. If you want me to write a full walkthrough or something, just say.

Some notes:

  • The quest takes place on Vvardenfell, but if the team finds the quest enjoyable, I can easily move it over to the mainland somewhere.
  • I've modified the terrain and moved around a few statics outside of Balmora, so it may seem like there are dirty references, but there aren't (I'm pretty sure...)
  • Although I've done a bit of exterior and interior work on this .esp, I only did so because I didn't want to use any existing NPC. I've placed a house in Balmora and a campfire in the wilderness but that's about it. I didn't mess with any pathgridding either.
  • I tried to copy the naming conventions from TR_Mainland, but I'm not 100% sure I got it right.

P.S. My name on Discord is RyanG. If someone with permissions could nickname me "NoMan" on the server to avoid confusion, that would be great.

It appears that my mod doesn't run properly in vanilla Morrowind. Please hold off on evaluating my .esp until it's fixed.

Okay, I think I got it all working now. I implemented the changes Rot reccomended to me on Discrod ( Thanks Rot! ) and fixed the scripts so they work on the vanilla engine.

Changelog

  • Removed unnecesary variable declarations
  • Fixed scripts to work with vanilla Morrowind
  • Fixed NPC rotation
  • Fixed some script formatting
  • Added bound armor spell for Impostor (TR_m0_Llandreri_Fake_Armor)
  • Stopped global scripts from running forever
  • Removed guard refusal dialog
  • Fixed a couple minor typos

Remaining issues (Vanilla engine only)

  • Mages don't ambush you if you haven't been to their cell (recently?)
  • Bad AI
    • Odd delay when an AI tries to attack something
    • During the ambush, if you attack the mages first, the guards might come after you
