Particle effects invisible in front of mesh

I'm having issues with a new cave mesh I'm working with right now.
For some reason all particle effects don't show up in front of the mesh and I can't figure out why.

I uploaded the file and a screenshot of the problem below.

I'd be very grateful for any help smiley

Maybe the unevenness of the ground doesn't allow for the particle effects/ particle effects are blocked by the mesh?

The NiAlphaProperty on the mesh is causing the problem, just ditch it in Nifskope. You might want to get rid of the NiSpecularProperty as well, since I don't think it's used in Morrowind.

You'd probably also be better off getting rid of the NiStencilProperty and just duplicating the mesh and flipping normals if you want it to be double-sided; the stencil property treats the direction of the normals as the 'correct' direction, so you end up with weird lighting when looking at it from the other side.

Nice little cave, though! The screenshot is giving me a Privateer's Hold vibe.
