(This is my first post so apologies if I messed up the accepted format.)

Premise:
A woman wants you to help her prideful father through hard times.

NPCs needed (names are placeholders):
Brelora Tharen, a Dunmer woman working at an inn.
Orvyn Tharen, an older Dunmer man and Brelora’s father
Eleanor, a Redguard woman and moneylender

Assets needed
a scripted chest

Locations:
Orvyn’s farm
An inn or similar establishment where Brelora works

Detailed Summary:
The player meets Brelora, who asks them to help her father with a financial matter. She says that he is out a considerable sum of money, having borrowed from some unsavory sorts. However, he is too proud and stubborn to ask for or accept her help. She begs the player to help him, suggesting that they bring some mazte to loosen his lips.
Upon arrival at Orvyn’s farm, the player can attempt to speak with Orvyn about his predicament. While he will admit he is in financial trouble, he refuses to disclose any further. Pressing him will result in a disposition drop. Instead, if the player offers him a drink, or raises his disposition, he confesses that he borrowed a large sum from a local moneylender and while he has been saving up his money in a chest, he is still 225 drakes short.
The player can now pursue one of several options.

  1. If they simply try to give Orvyn the money, he rejects it outright and asks them to leave, refusing to speak further. If they return to Brelora, the quest ends and Brelora gives the player a small reward for their efforts and her disposition drops. Otherwise, they can attempt one of the following:
  2. The player can pick the lock on the chest and deposit the sum directly. If not caught, they return to the inn and end the quest for the full reward from Brelora, whose disposition climbs.
  3. If the player asks Brelora for advice, she points them to Eleanor, a local moneylender. The player can persuade Elanor to lower the debt, or take it on themself. In either case, the player gets the full reward from Brelora as well as a disposition increase.
  4. Alternatively, the player could kill Eleanor. Brelora gives the player an alternate reward with no disposition change.
  5. If the player kills Orvyn or robs the chest, Brelora becomes hostile and the quest ends in failure.
  6. If the player kills Brelora, the quest ends immediately in failure and Orvyn becomes hostile.

Rewards:
If the player ended the quest at 1, they receive a small sum of gold (~75) for their troubles.
If they end it at 2 or 3, they receive an enchanted amulet from Brelora. In addition, if the player ends it at 2, Brelora gives them the 20 gold. If the player ends it at 3, speaking to Orvyn later will give them some of his farm foodstuffs (a handful of Ash Yams, etc.).
If the player ends at 4, they receive a bottle of flin from Brelora, who is unsympathetic to the moneylender’s fate.
Ending at 5 or 6 gives no reward beyond the loot on the bodies of father and daughter.

EDIT: Modified tag and reward as per Kevaar’s comment.

I like it. Perhaps increase the gold to something more like 225 coins (for the debt) and 75 coins (for the branch 1 reward).

This might work for a quest in a Dres zone, but I think it would do best in a Redoran zone. Getting into debt and refusing help out of pride sounds like a Redoran thing to do.
