Edit: added to asset Browser: http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/asset/silverstalk -10Kaziem

I had a go at the Silverstalk concept for the Deshaan. This is a bit of a WIP; I’m not sure it’s good enough for TR yet, and the vertex shading needs a bit of a rework but I thought I might as well post it (and hopefully encourage a more experienced modeller to do a better version.)

Ah, great start! I think the plant was supposed to be much smaller, but I actually kind of like it at that size.

Lovely start.

I like the size, but I would suggest using some more detail on the leaf. double of triple your polycount there.

Wow. Looks good for a start! The leaf definitely needs a higher polycount. The plant itself is supposed to be 6-8 inches tall (15-20 cm tall), so this is quite a large version. That said, maybe a variant of this (keeping this size) might be a interesting big plant for a region besides the Deshaan.

I think if the plant is mostly used around brine pools, which would be found in the highest concentrations in the low-lying salt marshes, a larger size for the plant could work out, especially with the whole fertile-for-local-life aspect. This is pretty much the extreme end, though; even if we were to go with a large size for the plant it probably shouldn’t be quite so large, and a small size would work just as well.

I’ve smoothed out the leaves and made them much smaller; I’ve adjusted the texture a bit, too, but that still seems a bit rough: http://i.imgur.com/o9JQzE5.jpg

I love your updated version sirrah. Really great job smiley

It’s amazing how much gorgeous unique flora we got this year already. It feels like 5x of what was made during the whole other ~14 years of TR.

Ooooh! Those look quite nice with your update. I like how you have the leaves pointing in various directions. They’re a good size, too.

I’ve put some (very) simple collision on these.

Collision is a good thing to have. I don’t have the time right now to test them out, but thank you for more work.
