I can't attend the meeting, however I did glance through the proposed agenda. I see you will discuss work for me regarding the public relations post I made a few days ago. As I won't be able to attend, I will listen to the meeting of its recorded. If it isn't, you can always private message me.
Note: I will not be at this weekend or next weekend’s meetings as I’ll be on trips.
Does: concepts, textures, youtube vids, admin stuff e.g. PR, handbook, assets, small website things. Activity level: wildly unpredictable. Still active. Find me on Discord.

So for today, we have no agenda, the Dres questline proposal got delayed, Kaziem is still away, and I’m busy fiddling with the Dashboard.
Unless someone has something to discuss, I say we skip this week.
We’ve got two other Dres questline proposals coming up as well, so yeah, I’d say give that one a few so we can all compare/contrast/combine what we’ve got.
In the meantime, I’d propose this (maybe not today’s meeting, but A meeting?)
--how to get the blockage of content now in the asset browser and claims browsers moving again. AKA, formalize the process of reviewing, and how to address those claims/assets that are dependant on another part of the project being complete (for instance, I have a quest claim that needs an interior that doesn’t exist yet).
--PR, recruiting (or crosstraining) devs to start doing more stuff with the CS, modeling, and file merging. We’ve got tons of talented writers, but that only takes us so far if there’s no ingame spaces to apply that writing to! TES3 is an old game, so devs with the technical know-how are becoming a rare breed. A bit of a longshot idea: making a workshop or video? To make it more TR related, we could pick a claim and either explain exactly how we did it, or open it up as a contest/tutorial of sorts.
Meeting for today is concluded. For our European friends this is getting quite late. So, the question is, is there a better time/day for everyone? Would earlier than 6 PM GMT on saturday work?
For me, personally, I could do as early as 2 or 4PM GMT and sporadically also around that time during the week as well, though earlier during the week would be better.

I work all of Saturdays, can typically only get on if I have a client cancel or if my client is one I don’t have to real hard. So pretty much any time works/doesn't work about evenly for me.
earlier than 6 pm gmt would be very good for me, that’s for sure
also, agree with kevaar – i'm very willing to get onto the actual cs development side of things but it’s difficult to become an expert on the cs and morrowind modding, because most tutorials can make you a very good beginner but there’s little that makes you an expert. little details like “candles sometimes don’t f properly” and the like aren’t easy things to learn outside of just browsing random forum posts, which is a fairly crap way to learn. also, a lot of the images in the tr modding handbook are broken anyway.
We’ve got tons of talented writers, but that only takes us so far if there’s no ingame spaces to apply that writing to! TES3 is an old game, so devs with the technical know-how are becoming a rare breed.
Thank you for speaking of this issue, I’m also worried about this for quite some time now. I’ve noticed that while things have become way more organized and professional, which is really great, but the actual development progress (especially when it comes to NPCs and interiors) has slowed down dramatically. We have to keep in mind that we literally have hundreds of interiors left that have to be constructed and filled with NPCs. If we want to finish this project within a realistic time frame we really have to do something about the above mentioned areas at least.
It also appears that nobody is actually working on locations outside of the large cities. I would love to help with placing hostile NPCs in dungeons and so on. How can I do that?

i want to know too. if the work on the data unification with the esp quickeditor is more or less sorted, then we should be able to focus more on this stuff, right? but i don’t really understand the claims system and the explanations are kind of off to me. (i also haven’t done a dev showcase yet either way, but i will be later)
Well, it’s pretty much no secret how much the leadership has atrophied since 2014. 2016 was particularly bad and TR is not currently in a state to handle CS work on an organisatorial level. There’s simply nobody left who’s regularly active and experienced enough, unless Rats suddenly pulls double shifts (that would be nice, admittedly).
There’s also very little notes on how this was handled so we’ll pretty much have to make up stuff as we go along. Once I’m done with the website to an adequate degree (I’m going to put in Asset browser things next, to improve security and handling), I’ll focus on that and leave the other backend things for 2017.
The worst part is the crippling information backlog. Tons of things are on the old forum somewhere and nobody really has any clear idea on where things are supposed to go. But we’re getting there at least, we’ve now got a pretty good idea of which settlements should be where, got the eternally-in-motion regions nailed down (just need to put them in the game now), and the questlines are being summarized.
A good thing would be if someone could rouse the reviewers we still have from sleep and get them to review and fix the the 78 unmerged interiors from the old forum, so we can finally merge them.
A good thing would be if someone could rouse the reviewers we still have from sleep and get them to review and fix the the 78 unmerged interiors from the old forum, so we can finally merge them.
Well, if you’d make me a reviewer I’d start working on them immediately. There’s not a big chance in trying to raise the dead I think, unless we’ve a powerful necromancer among us
I’d also be happy to do interior reviews, but I’m not sure what the situation is with regards to reviewer showcases (and reviewing a reviewer showcase would need a reviewer who’s time might be better spent reviewing ints anyway!)
In regards to the meeting times: I don’t have much to contribute, but if the meetings were a few hours earlier I’d be more inclined to attend them regularly.
In regards to meeting time: We could go an hour (5 pm GMT) earlier, I eat dinner around 4 pm GMT so I won't be attending the meeting earlier, than that.
I won’t be at the next meeting, or possibly even the one after that. So if theres’s anything there that requires my presence it can be bumped from the agenda to the next meeting or one after that.

Yeah, I’m for earlier as well, and actually expected today’s meeting to be an hour earlier from reading this thread, so shows what I know. I’m really up for anytime on Saturday, the earlier the better at the moment. While I’m not completely against trying out Friday meetings, in some cases I might only be able to pop by after 6PM GMT, and I may or may not be too exhausted from the week to function. As I said, if other people like the idea, I am up for trying it out, and if it doesn’t work out it doesn’t work out.
It seems we are all in general agreement, more or less.
We’ll try out to start 1 hour earlier (17:00/5pm GMT) next week.
This week’s meeting is about to start, the agenda is linked above and if you have never been there before, a direct link to our Discord meeting channel is here.
A quick overview of new and updated content can be found in your dashboard. If you are interested in our ongoing development, check out the claims browser and the asset browser.

No meeting this week I’m afraid, but perhaps Ada’s ideas on House Dres will at least serve as some food for discussion.

Today’s meeting is going to start in 5 hours. The agena is comparatively small and references this topic.
I guess we can also talk about the current drive to move things to the asset browser and pending site works.

There is actually an (interior) reviewer test claim. I can shoot that at you guys if you want.
We’re currently discussion alternatives.
On the topic of meetings, earlier is excellent, later is out of the question. Moving it to Friday would be preferable, but I don’t see that happening.
Also the agenda is pretty huge. This is probably going to be a long meeting, especially due to the data structure and TR1609 discussions.
