Random idea. I was pondering over the question of whether the PC should be able to join an Ashlander faction. I could see a Dunmer PC be able to be accepted into the upper ranks of the Ashlanders, under the reasoning that they’re learning their true heritage and given a pass for being born on the wrong side of the border. But something like an Argonian or Khajiit Ashlander would be harder to justify.

Which led me to wonder if perhaps Ashlander faction would be something only Dunmer PCs could join. Which led me to wonder if maybe we should make a questline special for each PC race (that may or may not be attached to a faction).

One the one hand, it’d be a neat way to introduce lore that might otherwise never be seen in Morrowind, pulling in our favorite themes from Redguard, Skyrim, etc. I like questlines like this that make the PC feel special for making certain choices, even if that choice was made at character creation.

On the other hand...more work, for what may be little payoff. And the question of what to do for each race. Injecting bits of other provinces into Morrowind could be really neat, but it also could be really out of place, depending on what we do with it. Some races like the Argonians have storylines that could directly tie to Morrowind (slavery, Arnesian war), but some, like the Bretons, are just kind of there.
