I’ve moved discussion of the statues over from this thread. I still haven’t read through Templar Tribe’s post; as far as the Old Ebonheart statues are concerned, when they were discussed before the snake statue, the twin of the Ebonheart dragon statue, got the best reception, with the Alessia statue in second, as less important but something that would be nice to have. The Talos statue was generally seen as the least cost-effective, so to speak, given that it is by far the most complex and may not be worth the trouble.
As the one who designed the statues, I’d naturally love to see any or all of them made, but I do consider them very low priority.

Now for a proposal I have that involves statues is more along the lines up Indoril lands. I do not have any concepts unfortunately, however the best I can describe the idea is that there are 3 statues in Tribunal: http://i.imgur.com/3rSsji3.jpg
These are in the Old Mournhold ruins tileset, yet there is a lingering suspicion from me that these statues would be a lot more common OUTSIDE of Almalexia and in the Gardens (the Chapel-Estates of Indoril lords and nobles that dot the Indoril lands), and they would be in a bit better condition. From the image we can see that the first 2 statues are males, and I think a variation that would work well would be another statue of a male holding a staff or perhaps a male holding a paper lantern in his left hand like such: http://lpix.org/2048634/2015-05-15_00033.jpg
Only perhaps the lantern could be more in the style of the round paper lanterns or even the Ashlander bug lanterns. Now the last statue we see is one of Almalexia herself (I would assume). While interesting to note that it appears her hair is going FUCKING SUPER SAYIAN, it is also more to the point to exclaim that the particularities of the statue are interesting. The way she is holding the sword looks to be a ceremonial form, and it may be a different Face she is presenting (there’s the Warrior Face, the Mother Face, Snake-Face, etc etc). I think that one or two more statues that depict Almalexia herself would be of great use for later down the road. I had spitballed a few ideas for new Shrines for Almas Thirr:
Perhaps Gnomey or Parker will have a better idea of any shrines we may need for any upcoming Indoril settlements, or they may have an idea for unique shrines for places like the Bloodstone Shrine near Almas Thirr. One last thing I would like to talk about is a purposed idea for I had for Necrom a while back; there are quite a few things I would change about Necrom as it is right now, but one thing I think is at least feasible is to change the bridge leading into the city. As it stands, the bridge is broken into 2 sections and it looks rather under whelming, as you can see at the near-center of this picture: http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/100/2482090-1337235341.jpg
My idea would be to consolidate the bridge into being one larger bridge with SOMETHING to symbolize the city’s importance of being the CITY OF THE DEAD on it. What I think would be best would be to have the sides of the bridge be fitted with alcoves where sarcophaguses of extremely important Dunmer from the 2nd Era reside. If we look at the funerary rights from the Velothi Dunmer and compare them to what is left of Ashlander culture, and then take modern Tribunal tombs, we can see a large difference, though when Necrom was first built it would be assumed that the Chimer still used the Velothian customs of mummifying their dead, or at the least showing off the powerful ones.

What I think would need to be done is to make the bridge more like a “wall” that you can walk across the top of; think the Great Wall of China. Also, another interesting thing about the Great Wall of China is that it’s also basically a mass grave.
So with these alcoves build in along the sides of the bridge with the sarcophaguses of important Dunmer (who I guess at the time would have been Chimer?), it would really represent the city in an interesting and unique light.

...wowza. Okay, I’ll have a crack at a statue from one of the descriptions you have given make a new thread onces I do :).
Talos sounds fun! Although, when I googled him I forgot to put “Talos Skyrim” or whatever and got screenies from Jason and the Argonauts (1963)! I’ll Imperial and low-res Talos up for Tiber! By that I mean I’ll use him as a guide… new mesh :)

If you can get some statues put out I will literally cry tears of pure joy. Also the rocks themselves look amazing; the texture leaves some to be desired but as Gnomey said it’s more the model that matters right now and the model is seriosuly some high quality work! Maybe you could use some Molag Amur or West Gash rocks as inspiration as well? They have very interesting shapes to them. :) But really, thank you so much, you’ve no idea how awesome it is to have another modeler on deck with us. It makes it so much easier for us to make headway in this crazy project. ;p

Wasn’t going to post this until it was finished, but I actually made a statue sort of based on that Talos design. Looks like this:
Saint_Jiub over at P:C is working on the textures (since I suck at textures). Also the lapels don’t flutter in the wind, since I do not know one single thing about animations.

Well, that just captures the feel of the concept art just perfectly! Great work.
The cloth pieces need not be animated. We can always add a modified version of a vanilla flag model for that effect.

Saint_Jiub over at Project: Cyrodiil has been kind enough to create a texture for this statue:
We will use the small version as a cult statue and as decoration in various places around Cyrodiil, to indicate the importance of the Talosian/Emperor cults. Also planning to make a couple of busts at some point. You will likely have to edit the scale for it to fit your plans for Ebonheart. The original should be coming your way in the common data merge, I think.

The Talos status is in Tamriel_Data, so that’s one purpose fulfilled.
If there are other statue requests made manifest in the discussion here, they should be added as requested assets.
