Greetings!
I am humbly submitting the following interior showcase for review. This showcase is based on, but not necessarily a submission for, the currently unclaimed Narsis, Old Quarter #125 - Chief Inquisitor. Accordingly, as this claim specifies use of de_r furniture, I have deviated slightly from the interior showcase guidelines which stipulated use of de_p furniture, so I hope that is still okay. I also have not put my name on the claim itself because I am not assuming that this is the intended design.
Please also refer to these design decisions if you have any questions while reviewing:
- There was a contradiction in the claim as marked (someone may want to review that). The claim states that the shell should correspond to ex_hlaalu_b_05, but the house on the reference map labeled 125 is attached to ex_hlaalu_b_27 (the curved one). As b_27 is more conducive to a multi-story build as required by the showcase guidelines, I opted for that.
- This showcase does not add any new references, making use only of objects in the base game as well as TR_Data. In a final product, I would recommend adding in a few new books mainly pertaining to imperial law to replace the open books on display within the interior. Additionally, I would recommend a set of scrolls, or a single scroll asset with generic text, corresponding to criminal cases related to Narsis and the surrounding region. In lieu of such options, I made use of the blank scroll object. There are also empty chests in this space which would be intended to hold a number of these assets if they were implemented.
- Knowing little about the intended personality of this home's resident, I went with my own ideas for the sake of environmental storytelling.
- The first floor of the inquisitor's home is an office space intended to receive petitioners, court officials, and other important representatives from House Hlaalu. The area is decorated well to leave a nice impression upon guests, but it is not a place to comfortably host for social occasions.
- As someone who has risen to the title of chief inquisitor, I am assuming that this is a person who is later in their career. Perhaps having served as a guard in their early days, there are a few pieces of Armun-An Bonemold armor on a shelf behind the desk.
- Being a chief inquisitor, this person is likely not too popular with a decent chunk of the population. They are unmarried and live alone.
- While this person owns nice things, their living space is fairly spartan. They do not seem to have any creative outlets of note, and likely have a poor work-life balance based on the reading shelf and writing material sharing space with their small dining table (and the fact that most of their house is an office).
- They have a well-stocked bookcase to demonstrate that they are versed on matters of the law and Tamriellic history. There is only one skill book among all of these books—Biography of the Wolf Queen, which teaches Speechcraft.
- There is a steel knife concealed behind the desk in the event they are caught off-guard by an unwanted visitor.
- There is a small chest containing a modest sum of gold semi-hidden underneath the bed, with a lock level of 35.
- There is a public notice that will appear on the inquisitor's desk at a particular stage in the main story, to advise that the Nerevarine is a wanted criminal. It would make sense that someone like an inquisitor may receive such notices even outside of Vvardenfell. This asset appears in other parts of the base game.
- On the topic of tapestries, there are different examples used in game for how to affix them to Hlaalu walls and I was not entirely sure which option would be preferable, particularly since none of them seemed to contradict the Hlaalu Style Guide. Some examples have the tapestry hanging by a pole sticking out from the stucco material towards the top of the wall. Other examples have the horizontal rod that connects to the tapestry itself sitting flush with that same segment of the wall, with the pole and connecting rope occluded. I thought the latter looked more aesthetically pleasing, so that is the option I went with. If that is not the TR preferred option, I can easily make adjustments.
- The exterior shell of the claim is almost perfectly rotated to a cardinal direction, but I still made sure to include a NorthMarker rotated about 4-ish degrees which (I believe) corresponds to the actual orientation of the building.
- No new NPC has been added (presumably the NPC will actually exist in the Council Chambers rather than live here) so no ownership has been assigned to any objects within.
- A reference image of the intended exterior is included below to confirm accurate placement of interior windows (or at least as accurate as can be when the exterior is curved and there are no appropriate interior assets to replicate that curve, as demonstrated by places where it's used in the base game).

Other notes:
- Cell name matches claim name, "tr_narsis_125 - chief inquisitor"
- The file is clean and I ran it through TESAME myself to confirm.
- There is a pathgrid which should avoid all obstacles.
- It is illegal to sleep in this cell.
Thank you!

Hiya, I replied to this on the discord but I'll crosspost here:
"This is a very thorough showcase, a little overboard on the backstory but that's no problem.
Unfortunately, the de_p set is a hard requirement so this can't currently be used for a showcase.
You can either keep this version for use in the claim once you pass and make a version with the de_p, or make a wholly seperate showcase int. Up to you.
I'll do a proper review once that's been sorted."
