Hello, first off, I am new to the forums and to wanting to contribute to TR, but not remotely new to morrowind or playing TR.  And after wandering around both Vvardenfel Telvanni territory, and Mainland Telvanni territory, I ended up realizing some things about the areas.

Also, I have to admit that im hoping that someone will reply to this thread telling me that I installed the wrong version of TR and there are actually 100 more quests that i thought there were.

1) There are basically no quests for the Telvanni.

After completing the quests for the mouths, they will direct you to speak to their patrons.  Except none of them have anything to do.  The mouth quests introduce us to many of the Masters, and even hint at some interesting things that seem to be playing out in the background, but we as the player can neither advance nor participate except in the barest ways.

2) There does not appear to be any large overarching quests.

The success of both Morrowind exspansions relied on having reasons to go to Almalexia and Solstheim, and reasons to move about and explore in a broad sense.  Tamriel rebuilt has almost no interaction with Vvardenfel, and while there are valid lore reasons for this, the disconect is statling.  Even something like being called before the parliment of bugs when you become archmagister of the Vvardenfel branch of Telvanni, as simple as it is, would give players some incentive to actually visit the mainland and a purpose to it.

3) There are a lot of lore-friendly minor services missing.

Port Telvannis has a slave market where you cant purchase slaves, alchemical shops sell mostly ingriendients available in morrowind vanilla with a few additional ones from the new regions, the vairous temples wont tell you about all possible pilgrimages, etc.

In short, it all looks beautiful, but feels empty.  And so I would like to design multiple quests for the region, however, the volume im talking about and the various sizes that these quests would entail does not make it easy to post indvidually.  and to be honest, im not sure how to do that anyway. The modders guide doesnt actually give pointers for posting on the forum.  Further, I would like to have many of the mid size quests interact with each other and have reactions to the results of these quests so that they world feels more real.

In addition to the misc and city quests, i desperately would like to finish the Faction Quests for House Telvanni.  Starting with deciding which Master to serve.

(EDIT) totally forgot this part… 4) meaningful rewards

Most of the rewards I received for quests so far have been around the 25 – 100 gold mark, or no reward except disposition increases.  This may reflect on my playstyle, and might not be relevant to others, but I usually leave for the mainland just as I am finishing most of the non-main quests for vvardenfel.  Partially this is so that i can receive the boost to my faction rank when I do, but the end result is that I am usually around lvl 20 – 25 and probably one shotting anything that doesnt have a reflect enchantment on them.  The rewards for any quest I have done have been less valuable than spending that time running from alchemist shop to alchemist shop mixing two pieces of bread together and selling it.

Morrowinds content had a “cap” to the strength of items.  You couldnt go above daedric, nor could you enchant past the enchanting limits.  The grandmaster (or secretmaster, tbh i never did figure out if you could obtain secretmaster items in vanilla) alchemy equipment was the limit.

Boring as morrowinds combat can be, when you hit the point of simply ignoring most of the enemies attacking you because you heal faster than they hurt you, you start wishing something would fight back.  and that the reward for killing it would be worth the effort.

You are correct in that TR does not have a ton of quests.  Currently there are plans to add a few more, with a focus on creating links between the mainland and Vvardenfell.  If you have quest ideas put them in the asset browser, and people will review them. right now TR is desperately in need of people to create quests in the CS, so if you can do that the project will be greatly aided.

Consider it done.

Does anyone mind if I put the smaller ones into the same esp instead of multiple?  Id rather not spam.  And i would be free to develop Telvanni house quests? obviously people would need to approve them, but i wouldnt be wasting my time if i flushed out the top half of the telvanni quests would i?

(EDIT) the page for Asset submission guidlines comes up missing when i clicked on it.  If you could give me a quick rundown it would be amazing ^_^

Am I the only Telvanni that realized giving slaves and servants the abillity to levitate was probably not a good idea?

House quests will need extensive discussion, so I would hesitate to just go ahead and create a quest line.  It would be more fruitful to put some ideas up so people can discuss those.  However, I also think the odds that Telvanni quests will be worked on soon to be quite slim.
Misc quests and House Dres are the priority atm so far as I can tell.  Again that shouldn't necessarily stop you from writing what you want, I just don't want you to expect that whatever you suggest will be immediately discussed.

The general flow for quest design is as follows:
A suggestion is made where the submitter writes out the details of the quest such as location, rewards, narrative, etc.
This is reviewed by Devs and Reviewers and is either accepted or rejected (after critiques are made)
Should the idea be accepted, the quest is able to be turned into a claim where a quest dev makes the claim in the CS to be put into the game.  (The quest writer has the right to work  on it if he or she so chooses)
Then this is reviewed and when it is cleared for merging it is added to the game.

To do CS work you first have to make a showcase, which means making a quest and having it critiqued within the developer showcase section.  There is no such requirement for creating ideas for quests.

Hmmm, i see.
i will put up a showcase then of a smaller quest first, and put a submission about the house ones.  thank you much.

Is there a link somewhere that has what the House Telvanni questline is desired to look like? I'd enjoy working on it. Since the Telvanni were the first House lands to be done, it only seems fit that their House be completed and feel full.

Hello Meej-Dar. Welcome to the project!

Our hopes for House Telvanni are to eventually revamp much of their lands and cities. Basciallly that area of Morrowind isn't up to our current standards, being some of our oldest work released back in 2008-2009. Unfortunately, improving the Telvanni lands is currently a long-term goal, and not actively being worked on (as far as I'm aware). Due to this, making additional quests for the Telvanni wouldn't be advisable at the moment, since our plans for them aren't complete yet.

I know this might sound like a bit of bummer, but if you're passionate about the Telvanni, feel free brainstorm and help us come up with ideas for them. I don't believe we've had a proper discussion of Telvanni matters in some time. You might find this thread interesting.

Long, long ago, we had a plan for a Telvanni main quest that would have ended with the player turning into a giant Dremora and destroying Firewatch, or something. It was a glorious mess.
