Description:

The dock extension where Sentius Veros stands is built with furn_de_rope_03, a vanilla rope mesh which lacks collision. This means you can fall off the dock after exiting the boat, before completing chargen or unlocking the controls. Since you can't jump, pick up items, cast spells, or open your inventory at that point in chargen, there is effectively no way to get back onto the docks.

To fix this, someone just needs to add a couple more of the invisible CharGen walls to Seyda Neen.

I was tempted to mark this as bug as "critical," but it's obviously not a big deal in practice given that I am apparently the first person to notice this.

Why not add a separate pier

jonado's picture

Why not add a separate pier for the travel service from Seyda Neen instead? We want new players to explore Dominions of Dust, and if using a side platform to the chargen pier for the travel service, they won't notice that you can travel there directly from Seyda Neen. Moreover, in the current setup you have to pick one of the C&E doors to reach the travel NPC. This indicates that the service should only be available for priviliged people, which is not very good worldbuilding (and anyway diverts from the game standard).

Compatibility issues with

Compatibility issues with Seyda Neen mods. I put the dock extension there because it is one of the very few spots where it's not colliding with some other mod's docks.

I guess your screenshots

I guess your screenshots shows only visible meshes, because there is an invisible blocking activator placed in front of that dock extension, which only gets disabled once chargen is completed (same trigger as the boats and so on).

So, no, you can't fall off (unless that activator got deleted from the esps for some reason.)
