Exterior: Darvonis 22, -18

Shell:  T_De_SetVeloth_X_House_05

Cell: Dravonis, 06 Residence

_________

The claim is here, it's not been transferred to me but I was directed to it after asking after a PI interior and having this suggested as a better showcase.

______________

Claim calls for a family home for some sort of fantasy desalination plant worker.  I included a place to take off his work shoes with muck and salt in a bin to emphasize the caustic nature of the work, and his fishing rod nearby.  He's a heavy hackle-lo smoker and drinker, reflected around the house and his room.

I envisioned one NPC on-site but a glitch prevented me from placing the book marker for her, she's a wannabe pilgrim saving up her drakes she makes spinning in the corner.  Lives of the Saints is under her bed, lower of the bunks.  Her brother has the top one with the netch leather shoulder.

I saw something about the original claimaint making him a widower with a child so I went with a widower with 2 kids cos the bunkbed honestly just fills the upper nook out better that a lone hammock would.

Name: Darvonis, 06 Residence

Clean: Yes

Esm dependencies: ok

Northmarker: Ok

Light: Ambient too high. Put it around 60

Illegal to sleep here: Yes, correct.

Gridsnap: Ok

Pathgrid: ok

Fits exterior: Yes

Floaters:

  • misc_com_iron_ladle - it would fall if placed like that
  • misc_de_drum_02
  • 2 x ingred_hackle-lo_leaf_01 on the crates
  • misc_de_fishing_pole doesn't touch the floor
  • ingred_muck_01 - it's best to move it to a different surface. Same with the salt pile - better place it in a plate or on a paper.
  • furn_de_shack_basket_02
  • common_pants_01
  • common_glove_right_01 - needs to lay flush
  • T_De_Cm_Shoes_02
  • misc_clothbolt_01 hanging precariously from the bench - could fall
  • misc_com_wood_knife - knives and daggers have heavy blades - they have to be tilted to touch the surface.
  • text_paper_roll_01 - these should be tilted so one of their sides touches the surface.

Bleeders:

  • All furniture objects in the father's room - into the bases of the walls.
  • de_p_chest_02_mclothes3 - into the tapestry.
  • active_de_p_bed_03 - into the walls. Its lower pillow bleeds too deep.
  • barrel_02 - base of the wall
  • furn_de_p_bookshelf_01 - same
  • All forks and spoons
  • crate_01 into the tapestry
  • de_drawers_02_empty into the wall base. Might be good to replace with a not-empty variant
  • furn_de_p_bench_03 same as above
  • furn_de_p_chair_02 same
  • furn_de_p_bench_04 same
  • furn_de_p_stool_01 same
  • chest_small_01_ingred10 into the surface
  • Light_De_Lantern_01_128 at the window - bleeds too much into its rope
  • sack_tomb_ingred - too much into the barrel. Idk what's going on with these assets, but I'd replace them with different sacks. This one is blocked and labeled for use in tombs.
  • barrel_01_Ingredients - into another barrel.

Rescaled items/objects:

  • The bunk is too small. 0.90 should be the smallest size. I suggest placing it in the father's room and move the father to the nook sleeping on a hammock.
  • de_p_closet_02_empty - scaled down too much. Either rescale it to at least 0.90, or replace with a different furniture piece. Here's an example of a workable layout for the closet.

  • Crates in a stack - do not rescale crates, barrels (even though vanilla does it) - they have a standartised size to fit neatly in storage stacks. As a general rule, you can rescale natural objects, like plants and rocks. But avoid rescaling man-made ones, unless it's necessary (like, scaling a bed to 0.9 to fit into the niche).
  • Never rescale items that could be picked up by the player.

Other:

  • 2 x furn_de_p_shelf_02 should be placed like this. Alternatively, use a smaller shelf that doesn’t have vertical supports.
  • misc_hook - it has no visible use. Best to remove it or replace with a shack hook lying on the shelf.
  • misc_flask_01 - one of the many vanilla assets with a pointy bottom. You should sink these into the surface until it looks like the item's bottom is flat.
  • ingred_crab_meat_01 - best to place food either on plates or on paper. Unless it's dry food like bread.
  • Objects under the bunk are unreachable for the player.
  • Remove the objects floating in the void - the house and the lantern.

General feedback: You have good cluttering ideas. I liked many of the placements you've created, like: the hanging bottles, the dining table clutter, the eggs in the baskets (usually, people leave baskets empty, which I don't enjoy). What you need to focus on, is the configuration of the sleeping places (maybe reduce the family to two people?), and precise item placement -- some of your items do not sit flush.

Keep up the good work, and I'll recommend for promotion.

Thank you for fixing the issues! I can see that you fixed all of the bleeding and floating there was, which shows that you've learned the skill. Some additional points before we wrapp this up:

  • T_De_HackloPipe_01 - bleeds through the candle frame.
  • Chest under the father's bed - can't be reached.
  • 2 x light_de_candle_06_64 (one on the top of the bookshelf, and one on the drawers) belongs to bluware set which is a middle-to-high-class clutter. I missed that in the first review, but replace it (search and replace) with a cheaper looking candle - like the one you have in the storage corner below, for example.
  • Sack_small_(scale)00 is another blocked vanilla asset wich is only used in tombs and some Mornhold interiors. I can't tell if the blocked condition will cause problems (again, I'm also still learning this stuff), but just to be safe - replace it with a generic food container with a leveled list.
  • misc_de_bowl_orange_green_01 - sink it deeper into the surface so the bottom looks flat.
  • furn_de_shack_basket_02 - bleeds into the bench a bit.
  • common_pants_01 and muck on the bench - stick out from the surface, exposing their transparent bottoms (caspering).
  • furn_de_p_shelf_02 (bottom floor) - the vertical supports hang in the air. It would be more optimal to place this shelf akin to how you placed the one in the bedroom.

Hammock: I usually use hooks to attach the hammock rings to the walls. But the wooden spike you have is also ok. Only, its angle would cause the spike to fall rightwise, possibly collapsing the construction.

The shell: I agree that it needs to be reduced to 2x3, and sorry for not addressing it in the first review. If it would've not been a claim, we could've just wave this off, but claims demand harsher standards, because they'll go into the release. When you reduce the shell, you can save most of the clutter (you have a good amount of refs, even more than showcasers usually do).

For the bedroom I suggest two variants:

1. Put a bunk and don't worry about the avenue in front of it. Just don't place items that would be impossible to reach there.

2. Put a bed upstairs and a hammock downstairs (where Peter placed a round table in his example).

Pathgrid: do not forget to fix it when you alter your layouts. Currently, you have two instances of yellow lines colliding with furniture.

General: I can see your hard work in here. But do not stress yourself too much. You're going much faster than many of the applicants. And good work on fixing all those bleeders - very neatly done. With skills you've acquired, you'll finish this house pretty quick after adjusting the shell.

Also removed the smuggle-y nook cos there was no way to get it player accessible w/ hammock.
