2015 11 28 Meeting Summary

Ashlanders

Ashlanders are suggested to have had better lands before being forced out by House Dunmer, which would lead to Ashlander burial grounds extending beyond where Ashlanders are settled presently in the late Third Era.

Redoran

The Redoran are suggested to have controlled most of Vvardenfell but this becomes a debate. One side debates that it would make sense that after the Battle of Red Mountain the Redoran would take control of Vvardenfell which had belonged to the Dagoth and Dwemer, stating that a lot of the vanilla locations and quests point towards the Redoran considering most of Vvardenfell (including Caldara mine and Molag Mar) under their influence and guard. The pro argument continues by referencing the Red Book as stating that the Redoran are seemingly entitled to more territory than they actually control. The other side of the debate references the vanilla lore as stating that Vvardenfell was placed off limits by the temple and that colonization was only recent. The debate does not conclude in the recording and it is decided that it should be further discussed on the forum.

The next subject discussed is slavery in which some small points and suggestions are put forward. It is suggested that the reason slavery is prevalent in Dunmer society is because they can not have large families and need to substitute the lack of labor. It is stated that Ashlanders say that slavery was practiced in their ancient history which would point towards it was practiced by the Chimer and the early Velothi. It is suggested that the Chimer would have enslaved each other during the mythic and first era; only later did the focus of slavery turn to the Beast Races.

It is brought up that the town Bodrum, in Roth Ryn, is lacking a dam which was planned before. It is decided that it is not a priority to include the dam as long as there is a river near by but a Dwemer dam could be an interesting concept.

The meeting goes on to discuss Imperial forts on the east coast of Morrowind, mostly ruins. The Imperial’s plan was to create a defense against the Akaviri but it was too expensive to maintain the forts (as well as having issues with the hostile locals). The Imperial’s new plan is to fortify the inner sea to maintain control over Morrowind and to use the east coast of Morrowind and Argonia as a buffer zone (allowing the locals to deal with any Akaviri threats first). There are suggestions for new maintained fort locations: 1 naval base in between Necrom and Port Telvannis, 1 naval base somewhere in the south coast not too close to Tear, 2 or more new forts in Redoran lands.

It is discussed that the history of house Redoran’s decline due to the Armistice should be expanded and explored. It is decided that in future meetings there needs to be some sort of timeline created for TR history to help some up the events that are being introduced in the project.

There is a final discussion about obtaining the Tamriel Rebuilt domain name and possibly changing hosts.
