That looks much better! Sorry to bother again, I looked at the first version again and thought about how a second row of slots on the top part might look like, so to speak as another pattern in itself. They also don’t have to be real holes, they could just be an imitation. What do you think? I’ll upload a pic.
After sleeping on it, I think that it comes down to the fact that the material needs to be different. Instead of basket woven, maybe it should be salt strap or saltrice. Maybe even Durzog hide. Am I wrong in thinking that?
Excellent, it looks odd in the screenshot but can’t point out why… maybe material-textures are usually less realistic? or is it the gleam on the rims (what material is that?) It doesn’t need to blend in together with that chainmail though, only with local outfits.
I’ve brought down the contrast on the rim texture; I think that’s fixed the eye-popping quality, but I haven’t checked in-game yet (I’ll try to get the files up soon).
Hm, I don’t like the one in the screenshot. It looks too much like a bag with holes cut into it, rather than a woven basket. The 1st and 4th one in the color variations screenshot are the best, I’d say.
Hm, the top part still looks a littl ebag-like to me. Maybe throw in another faint design like you did on the bottom half? (Really loving the faint designs by the way).
Relavent question now: Which of these get implemented? Or do we just throw the entire 15 variants ingame and call it good? Oh! Maybe one color morph for each Dres clan, explained as the designs on them being symbols of the clan. (Though that’s still a lot of hats..!)
