First, it feels It's like the book is unnecesarily trying to mention or explain every detail of the ingame implementation of the Hlaalu stronghold. Moreover, it mentions attack from the Empire as a possible threat, which is not something the Hlaalu would be concerned with, and references the no-longer-Hlaalu Veranis as a Hlaalu site. Instead, the book should be refocused as an argument for constructing a stronghold on the Odai Plateau.
