Asparagus Trees

Asparagus trees, for the velothi mountains to replace or be used in turn with the pine trees. Note, could also be used anywhere there are pine trees on the mainland, for Clambering Moor or Julan-Shar for example.

Models needed: 2-3 variants, from medium to large trees (roughly up to heights of solstheim pine trees). Collision needed, no ingredient.

Saltrice (Deshaan Variant)

Saltrice – needs 3 variants. No ingredient, no collision. As these will be used in high concentrations in plantations, they need to be very sparing in polys without looking too ugly. They should also cover as much ground as possible and be slightly larger than the vanilla plants. Top concepts.

Saltstrap

Saltstrap – modular like a bittergreen plant. Needs 2 variants for the core (including small leaves) and then at least 5 variants of the leaf straps. No ingredient, does require collisions. We’re going with the ivory colour variant. The texture should be simple and reusable for other applications (like furniture).

Saltstrap, Juvenile – needs 2 variants, non-modular and of different base sizes. No ingredient, no collision on the smaller one, collision on the core of the larger one. Should share textures with the mature saltstrap plant.

Silverstalk

Silverstalk – Needs 2 variants, each just an individual plant. No ingredient, simple collision on stalk.

I had a go at the Silverstalk concept for the Deshaan. This is a bit of a WIP; I’m not sure it’s good enough for TR yet, and the vertex shading needs a bit of a rework but I thought I might as well post it (and hopefully encourage a more experienced modeller to do a better version.)

Comments from original thread:

Glasswort

Glasswort – needs 3 variants, plus an ingredient which is one small branch. Should have a simple cone collision for the stem.

Here’s my attempt at the glasswort for the Deshaan. It still needs some work; it might be better to smooth it out a bit at the cost of a few of the ‘nodules’, but I’d love to get some opinions on it.
