Meeting Notes
Who’s Hoom
There were some recent discussions about what the Red Swarm Militia group should be named and what the hoom creature should be named.
For the latter, a suggestion was to rename the creature to kwoom, as the sand kwoom is mentioned as a creature in Skeleton Man’s Interview. The hoom is, of course, accustomed to a snowy habitat, so the suggestion was to make a leaner variant called the sand kwoom that would be native to Roth-roryn but introduced to Shipal-shin, where the RSM are. (Or the snowy variant's name could remain ‘hoom’, with the idea that that’s a different eg. Nordic-influenced pronunciation of the same word).
For the former, a suggestion was to call the group Kwoom, but if we reintroduce the creature that could cause issues. The general criticism of Red Swarm Militia is that it’s an exonym and inaccurate (intentionally so, but still). So assuming the other idea goes forward, we will probably still need a new name for the group.
Wiki / Handbook structural revisal
A couple of months ago, a beta version of the shared PT-TR wiki was set up by SGMonkey. The site would serve as a shared documentation for TR and PT lore and planning. Per Jani’s proposal, the first TR contributions could be the lore portions of the handbook (“Planning Documents” and “Lore Primers” sections).
This would enable us to transform the handbook into a purely development-based guide to modding for TR, including the various tutorials, showcase guides, and development standards that are scattered across the website.
The proposal has been well received during the meeting. The next step in the process would be contacting SGM to finalize the new wiki.
Hlaalu Divine Shrine Altars
Hlaalu divine shrines are very much in need of altars, but no asset page seems to have been set up for them. That will be taken care of post-meeting, and possible concepts posted to Discord will be hunted down.
Roryn Bluff Rework
The question of when the Teyn rework described here ( https://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/content/2021-03-07-meeting-summary ) would be carried out (and by whom) came up. Mojo currently has the Roryn Bluff file.
There was also some general DoD progress discussion (focusing on the questlines, but also how they required various exterior and interior reworks to be done) which will be expanded on next meeting, where a progress report on those reworks is on the agenda.
The idea of an anniversary release this year, containing Firemoth and ITO insofar as either is finished (Olanar was mentioned too, but as less likely), was brought up and generally well received by those present.
