Meeting Notes
Indoril Tileset
For new, any performance and navigability improvements to Roa Dyr are welcome, like MwGek’s optimization. In the long term, we may want a new Indoril set (based on the Mournhold temple an OM set, for instance), and an asset will be set up for that set to low priority. The set could first use some concept art to figure out how chapels with purpose-made assets should look.
Weapon and Armour Stats
There was finally some actual discussion of the weapon and armour stats in connection with Phenoix’s spreadsheet. Among other things, sorting out some materials and identifying some outliers, such as the seaxes and steel scimitar having unusually high stats and T_Imp_Legion_Longsword_01 an unusually high speed.
Example of the steel scimitar relative to the closest example; a steel katana
Another minor issue also came up of the Nordic shields having been renamed to bucklers even though they aren’t designed to be bucklers. They should be changed back to being called shields.
With that, this topic is getting removed from the meeting agenda, as it mostly requires someone to look at outlying stats and adjust them to be more in line with (non-expansion) vanilla stats. New rules might be able to be set up for creating new weapons and armor sets. If any particular questions come up about how stats should be changed they can be brought up.
Coal Abundance
The setting and location of coal was mentioned, the general idea is that coal is mostly imported from West-Tamriel.
The Redoran might also own a coal mine near the mountains (Uld Vraech), for the purposes of heating their homes amid the cold conditions, aside from the trees present in Julan-Shar.
The coal mine could have a quest tied to it for their player stronghold.
