Dominions of Dust

Aside from the usual check for anything release-critical that needs discussion, the plan is to take a look at DoD and in particular SVM progress to see where we stand and how we can best move forward.

Foul Murder Mural Placement

A discussion as to where the mural in the final part of the Foul Murder questline should be located.

Future Releases

  • Sorting out which cities have which guild halls
    • Thieves Guild
    • Morag Tong
    • How much do the Temple and Cult need this?
  • Resolving more Imperial Cult issues, perhaps up to a Template Meeting
    • IC shrines start appearing in Thirr Valley and need a better overarching characterisation
    • The faction endgame
  • Same thing for the Psijjic Order.
    • Requires Infragris and a whole lot of lore-aware people.
  • Thirr Valley NPCing preparations

Meeting Notes

Foul Murder

A placeholder for Nerevar’s bonewalker will be added to Tamriel_Data (standard bonewalker for now with the correct ID) and will be placed somewhere in TR_Mainland (probably a dummy cell or something until we have the unique model) for questing purposes.

An activator black door to the chamber with the Foul Murder mural will be added to the deepest parts of the Necrom catacombs (probably Necrom, Catacombs: Depths); a normal Velothi wall will be replaced by a hole-in-the-wall mesh with the activator which will take the player to the chamber (probably in a different cell, handled this way so that the door isn’t marked on the map) 

Anniversary Release

If ITO is finished by the end of the year, Charger says it could be released in time for TR’s 20th anniversary. Otherwise, we can still do a T_D update with Mainland bugfixes.

Olanar could also be released, if it’s complete with quests. Same goes for Firemoth.

Four section files in development: Andothren, Roryn’s Bluff, Armun Ashlands, Southern Velothi Mountains

Assets
Southern Velothi Mountains landscape/rock textures, flora.

Exteriors
Ando: The council manor mesh needs work (collision issues on the stairway, missing trim around the top floor). Port authority building still needs to be consolidated into one mesh.
RB: The exterior overhaul is underway. Teyn still needs to be reshuffled. Bodrum will need a dedicated bridge asset. Some cells should be merged into the file from SVM to expand the Pryai river towards Marahk-Bazhul. This also requires terrain work in the area to make the slope of the Velothis more gradual.
AA: Pretty much done. Just needs more detailing and some location exteriors are almost done being reworked.
SVM: Some areas in the southeast still need work. Gnomey wants to experiment with the pine replacer textures.

Interiors
Ando: Only remaining interiors are the Temple (Why) and warehouse (Mark).
RB: All remaining interiors are ready for review/merging. Fort Ancylis still needs interior edits, to be done in the section file. The giant maze tomb near Teyn probably needs to be removed and the quests shifted to another place. Then make a claim for a smaller tomb to replace it.
AA: Finished.
SVM: 2 claims still in development, the rest are ready for review/merging.

NPCs and Dialogue
Ando: Mostly done, the Hlaalu bank still needs fixing. Rats will consult Rakanishu. There are some issues with the representation of slavery in Andothren, which still need to be ironed out.
RB: Teyn is WIP by Jani. Bodrum is currently unclaimed, likely waiting on interiors to be finished.
AA:
SVM: Waiting on ext+int implementation for NPCs, otherwise quest-ready.

All faction quest lines are claimed, except the Fighter’s Guild. Why is working on reducing the scope of the Temple and Speaker questlines. Mort is aiming to finish the Orlukh quests in a few months. Jani will start work on the IL once the Fort Ancylis interior is finalized.
