Proposed Agenda
City Renames as per https://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/comment/19955#comment-19955 and following.
Greetings,
I installed Morrowind from Steam (v.1.6.1820) then added TR mods to its "data files" folder. When I try to launch Morrowind I get the following error message: "Cell "Ebonhearth, Argoninan Mission" not found for dialog Topic Info "Empty" Continue loading?", "Cell "Ebonhearth, Imperial Chapel" not found for dialog Topic Info "Empty" Continue loading?" etc...
After agreing with all the errors if I try to launch a new game, I get the following error: "Expression Error Unable to find cell Id "Mournhold" in script T_ScGlobal_LoopTR".
I have made a little patch to remove the red "This Asset is Deprecated" cubes from Tamriel Rebuilt! I felt those cubes looked annoying and detracted from immersion. The patch removes the deprecated items from the game world and container and NPC inventories, but does not actually delete them from the game data. It just makes it impossible for those items to appear in the game world unless you cheat them in with the console. There are two ESP files available of which you should only use one. Please use "mainland" if you only use Mainland.
Not exactly a bug but in Akamora NPCs give conflicting responses concerning who owns the local inn, The Laughing Goblin.
When asked about the topic 'Laughing Goblin' NPCs will tell you that the inn is owned by the Arenim family. And indeed when you venture to their manor and ask them about the 'Akamora Eggmines' they will state that, unlike the other local nobility, everyday commerce is beneath their dignity. This could suggest that they do indeed own The Laughing Goblin.
Today I started setting up OpenMW because I heard it fixes the map issues I was having. I am having trouble figuring out how to get the distant land to work. I managed to get distant terrain and I can see all the way out to the horizon, but the buildings do not appear until I am almost next to them. How do I fix this?
I have my distant land setup and it works fine for Vvardenfell and Tamriel Rebuilt. However, I have downloaded a few other land mods that go beyond the edge of the world map including the Cyrodil and Skyrim projects and Lyithdonea. When I go to these areas, even though I have checked the mods in the distant land setup, the distant land doesn't work and I just have the regular vanilla fog blocking my view beyond my immediate surroundings. The common theme of the areas is that they are all off the edge of the limits of the game's world map. How can I fix this?
City Rename Project - The Meeting Times
- We declare loudly that the Dedefecation thread is to be used until May 2nd to collect the various rename proposals
- On May 2nd, we have a meeting at 04:00 UTC (hopefully) to discuss the stuff. If, miraculously, we come to a conclusion that everybody can live with, the further steps will not be necessary.
- We then put this in the forums somewhere (I presume an article and a tweet to garner interest from people who might skip over things usually)
- A vote happens somewhere along the line (in the forum thread?
First of all, thanks to the developers for the amazing quests in the latest TR release.
Hello, I was working on my interior showcase and I wanted to see it in-game. So I attempted to use the coc council command to go to my showcase, but after I made sure I put in the correct Cell ID it did nothing. Can someone please help me understand what is happening?
Good day everyone.
First off please forgive me if this has been asked before, but I am new to this forum and haven't seen how to search for topics yet. Anyways...
I am relatively new to the Morrowind modding. I recently completed a playthrough and explored all of Vvardenfell and wanted to add TR to my that playthrough. But when I installed TR, all my map progress reset on Vvardenfell. The whole map was blank. I did a lot of scouring online, and all I find is that sometimes Morrowind's mainland won't load properly. Nothing specific to my reset issue.
As I recently posted in Unsorted, I have revived the Children of Tamriel project which I had started so long ago. In order that my characters are a good fit for their locations, I like to do a bit of demographics research for each settlement before I start working on that settlement. What is a good, efficient way to find the following information?
A list of all settlements in TR_Mainland, updating on each release
A list of all people in a settlement (this can be one at a time as I work on them)
Several years ago I began a large modding project to combine Children of Morrowind with Tamriel Rebuilt. I had a Work-In-Progress version which was destroyed by the data restructure, then health and other interests got hold of my time and I put the project on a long hiatus. Last week, I downloaded the old WIP file from the previous thread in an attempt to recover it. I could not get the file patcher to run, but I found by opening the E
Hello Tamriel Rebuilt!
I finished my showcase, please review and give feedback. (A huge thank you to the TR Discord for basically teaching me how to do this).
Edit: I took the advice, pretty sure I got most of the stuff.
So I've seen this in the reported bugs, but in Yashazmus during the Gah Sadrith Inquisiton quest, the inquisitor companions keep getting stuck or falling off the ledges in the main shrine. And shortly after getting the daedric naginata, Eranil just completely vanished somehow, nowhere to be found even with detect creature magic (he did not die). Unfortunately I saved before realizing this. Could someone give me his object ID so I could try consoling him back into existence? Or would that break his scripting?
Here's my first backup on SH_08 claim, not done yet tho
EDIT: second backup
EDIT 2: third backup
EDIT 3: ready for review
Hi all, absolutely love TR and am exploring the newest version after a roughly 10-year hiatus from Morrowind in general. If this is the wrong forum for this, feel free to move it where it should be.
I'm just curious about TR's stance on Sixth House stuff. For one, do we even know lore-wise exactly where in Morrowind House Dagoth had their ancestral holdings? Was it only on Vvardenfell? Or are you holding off on possible mainland House Dagoth / MQ-related content till later?
i just finished The Forsaken Betrayer quest in Khalaan and i was wondering if i can go back to oblivion . i also met the daedra that could teleport you back for the 10 black anther but i cant seem to find him where ever he is ( i already gave him the black anther).
I found a very old backup of a little TR "cheat" utility mod I made just for fun back when I was practicing the editor. The file was created before the data restructure a few years ago. I have attempted to run the File Patcher on the file in an attempt to maybe recover it in preparation for future TR modding, however when I load it into the patcher it is stuck on 0%. Any idea why the patcher doesn't work?
Hotfix
Another fix was added (to the Daedroth providing travel service out of Khalaan).

i read that it can be assosiated with the bsa but its already registered , i can pick up the item and use it but it apears missing
This thread is to organize the Roth Roryn overhaul this year, and to try and get the region release ready before year end. Exterior developers will need to volunteer to help out with the task and to claim a section from the map below. This is not a traditional way to claim things, it is section file editing, open to all developers as long as they are an exterior developer on the website.
All in all a rather brief and slow meeting, going over some points that had been discussed before, some things of note were said nontheless:
Cross-Province Armor and Weapon Stats
None has noticed that Durability seems to follow Armor Rating in vanilla (not Tribunal or Bloodmoon) armor pieces as follows:
Dominions of Dust
General:
- [MVP] Finish the southern part of the AA bowl
- [MVP] AA needs a thorough bugcheck
- [MVP] Finish exterior development in the SVM section
- [Optional] Cicero is currently working on the AA-OW border transition
- [Optional] Review and merge Charger's work on the ITO
